Emily Vrontos Recognized as UNDER 40 Award Recipient

Emily Vrontos, R.Ph., PharmD, CDCES

 

The Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) announced that Emily Vrontos, PharmD, CDCES of Columbus, Ohio, is a 2022 recipient of an UNDER 40 Award in recognition of her leadership, excellence, and vision in the practice of pharmacy. This award was presented at the OPA 144th Annual Conference held April 1-3.

Emily Vrontos receives UNDER 40 AwardVrontos started her career as a patient care manager and pharmacist at The Kroger Co., where she advanced innovative patient care programs. She currently serves as lead specialty practice pharmacist for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC), Department of Family and Community Medicine. She has gained trust from providers, built patient care programs, and demonstrated improvements in patient care outcomes.  Vrontos is Chair of OPA’s Practice Advancement and Innovation Committee and is on the Telehealth Advisory Committee of the American Pharmacists Association. She also serves as preceptor and mentor to both pharmacy and medical students and residents.
