The Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) is pleased to announce the association has been awarded funding from the McKesson Amplify program. This funding supports OPA’s mission to unite the pharmacy profession, advance patient care, and engage pharmacists as vital members of the healthcare team. The funding will also bolster membership goals, advocacy efforts, and programs that address the needs of pharmacists throughout Ohio.
With funds from the McKesson Amplify program, OPA is able to introduce a new column in the Ohio Pharmacist journal. This column will serve as a platform to address topics of interest to community and independent pharmacy members, providing valuable insights, shared ideas, and examples of best practices. The goal is to foster a sense of community while equipping members with practical tools and knowledge to thrive in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
We encourage our members to provide input to this new initiative via the Call for Authors – Journal Independent Column form on the OPA website. If you work in a community or independent pharmacy and have ideas for helpful articles, OPA invites you to share your suggestions. Contributions can include anything from practical tips and innovative strategies to stories of successful practices that may benefit others in the profession. Please submit your idea via the form.
OPA’s receipt of funding from the McKesson Amplify program marks an important achievement for OPA, highlighting its efforts to support pharmacists and build an engaged professional community. OPA extends its appreciation to McKesson for this opportunity.
Stay tuned for this new column’s contents and share your ideas and feedback as we shape this exciting
new resource together. Together, we can amplify the voices of independent pharmacists and strengthen
the future of pharmacy practice in Ohio.
