On December 9, 2015, the State Medical Board of Ohio formally amended Rule 4731-11-03 of the Ohio Administrative Code to make clear that moderate to severe Binge Eating Disorder (BED) in adults is a condition for which the prescriptions of Vyvanse is permitted. The amendment became effective on December 31, 2015. As a result, Ohio-licensed physicians are now able to exercise their professional judgment, and in appropriate cases, prescribe Vyvanse for this additional FDA-approved indication.
