On Nov. 17 the Tobacco-Free College Campus Initiative along with universities across the country will take a one-day stand against tobacco in celebration of the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smoke-out. On this day encourage students and campus professionals who use tobacco to quit, raise awareness of the dangers of tobacco, and promote smoke- and tobacco-free campus policies. Visit www.1DayStand.org for tools such as fun and engaging activities to conduct on campus, promotional signage, sample surveys, talking points, press releases, social media posts and more. Campuses that register their event on the website will be recognized by the Tobacco-Free College Campus Initiative for their efforts.
