OPPA member, Cheryl Will, MD, is a candidate for Area 4 Trustee in APA’s 2018 Election

Cheryl Wills, Director of Child and Adolescent Forensic Psychiatric Services at University Hospitals of Cleveland, is campaigning to represent Midwest APA members on the Board of Trustees (BOT). She is the member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and represents the the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law in the APA Assembly, where she collaborates with the OPPA’s Assembly representatives.

Dr. Wills, who has practiced in Northeast and Central Ohio, trained in general and child psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh and completed forensic psychiatry training at Case Western Reserve University. She returned to Northeast Ohio after surviving Hurricane Katrina. She serves on OPPA’s Public Mental Health and Forensic Committees and on several APA committees. Her campaign focuses forensic psychiatry: risk reduction, burnout prevention and harm avoidance and the need for developmental, sub-specialty and regional considerations when crafting psychiatric policies.
