Position Description:
The Program Director is responsible for direct supervision of the Home Managers and indirect supervision of the DSPs. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring the timely implementation of appropriate and effective habilitation and service planning for all individuals within the homes. The Program Director is responsible for ensuring all DSPs and Home Managers are trained and knowledgeable on the plans and services for the individuals in their care. The Program Director will be on-call 24/7 for the home managers and will rotate on call with the other Program Directors in the organization. The position will be responsible for ensuring the services are in alignment with the ISP, supervision of Home Managers and DSPs to ensure service delivery, quality and documentation are maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in the ISP planning process on behalf of RHA and the individuals served.
- Create, maintain, and ensure quality documentation that meets the outcomes and services listed in the ISP for each individual.
- Supervision of the Home Managers to ensure there is sufficient staffing as well as medical appointments, activities, shopping, and household items to meet the needs of the individuals.
- Conducts regular staff meetings with each location.
- Provides leadership and direction in managing client funds and client financial records.
- Remain current with all rules and regulations governing the delivery of services as required by DODD, MCBDDS and other regulatory entities.
- Willingness to take calls and respond to emergencies throughout the day and night.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with clients, families, agency personnel, external vendors and service providers in ways that reflect positively on the Resident Home Association and the people we serve. Communication includes written, verbal and reading skills to effectively handle the responsibilities of the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, habilitation, psychology, behavior management or related field.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in training of IDD individuals including at least one year experience in the development and implementation of plans for individuals with disabilities.
- Possess a working knowledge of the I.O. Waiver or similar services and requirements and have functional computer skills.
