POSITION GOAL/FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the CEO, responsible for administration of workforce development services for individuals with developmental disabilities and supervision of assigned staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
(ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)
- Timely and consistent attendance.
- Provide leadership to support individuals with developmental disabilities to successfully transition from school or facility-based employment to competitive, integrated community-based employment.
- Supervise, assign and schedule job coaching staff to support individuals with developmental disabilities in obtaining and maintaining community-based employment.
- Responsible for overall workforce development program to include quality assurance.
- Responsible to develop and administer appropriate policies and procedures that meet Ohio DODD rules and regulations.
- Responsible to build a cohesive, focused program team by providing consistent direction, support and encouragement.
- Responsible for management of the program budget and resources.
- Establish positive relationships with area employers through proactive networking activities.
- Ensure and maintain accurate documentation of services provided to program participants that meets all requirements for service delivery and invoicing.
- Regularly evaluate satisfaction of all stakeholders.
- Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):
Any combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of:
- Management, supervision and training practices.
- Financial management.
- DODD HCBS waiver services rules pertaining to career planning and individual employment supports.
- Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) services and funding.
- Department of Labor rules and regulations.
Skills in:
- Verbal and written communication.
- Effective organizational skills.
Ability to:
- Manage train and mentor staff.
- Meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes.
- May be required to use personal computer and other equipment as needed to execute essential functions of position.
- May be required to drive personal vehicle on agency business.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions may exist that are not such as normally exist in an office environment. These conditions may include exposure to bloodborne pathogens, communicable diseases, potentially infectious material, potentially hazardous materials, and/or aggressive behavior.
QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE(S) REQUIRED:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the provision of career counseling and individual employment supports for individuals with developmental disabilities or a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year of experience.
- Current certification as a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP)
- Valid driver’s license.
- As required by law or rule, must successfully pass a criminal background check through BCII, Nurse Aid Registry check, Ohio Inspector General Check, DODD Abuse Registry check, Sex Offender registry, Offender registry, SAM Federal Registry Check.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment physical exam including drug test and consent to be enrolled in the Ohio Attorney General's retained applicant fingerprint database ("Rapback").
TRAVEL:
May be required to drive personal vehicle on agency business.
COMPENSATION:
Salaried Position. Compensation commenserate with education and experience
