More than 10,000 parents participated in an Ohio Parent Teacher Association survey seeking feedback on the state’s ongoing planning to potentially re-open schools this fall, according to the group’s leader.
Ohio PTA President Ana Chapman said public interest in the survey was unprecedented, with 14,448 people responding, and tens of thousands more responding on social media. The results have been shared with the Ohio Department of Education.
“It’s huge,” said Chapman, a Beachwood schools music teacher and school board president for Berea city schools. “We’ve never seen anything like that for a survey we’ve done before.”
