The Doppler 10 weather team has issued a Weather Alert Day for June 17 as temperatures are expected to reach above 90 degrees.
Temperatures will be rising later this week ahead of our first expected heat wave of the season. For a heat wave to occur, there needs to be three consecutive days of at least 90-degree weather.
Next week, central Ohio could experience at least five days of excessive heat.
