Ohio Academy of Family Physicians | Hybrid/Columbus, OH

Position Summary:

The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians is a statewide professional association with 5,200 members, including practicing family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students. Since 1948, the OAFP has represented the professional interests of Ohio family physicians, provided postgraduate medical education, and encouraged medical students to enter this field and to advance the patient-physician relationship. The OAFP is one of the largest, most active chapters of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is celebrating its 75th anniversary of quality membership education, devoted advocacy, and family medicine advancement.

The OAFP seeks a driven, advocacy-focused, association professional to fill the academy’s newly established Director of Government Advocacy role.

Please note, that this is a member-facing position that works closely with OAFP’s contract lobbyist. As the Director of Government Advocacy, direct lobbying to Ohio legislators is minimal.
