Generative AI is breaking—and reshaping—customer acquisition. As more people turn to AI search engines and chatbots for their informational needs, leaving a handful of big AI tools to determine which consumer brands grow and which ones stagnate, companies can no longer rely on SEO alone to organically find new customers.
Enter Peec AI, a Berlin-based company that just raised €5.2 million, or about $6 million, by promising to help customers game these new search tools.
The company is a pioneer of a new school of web marketing strategies called generative engine optimization, or GEO, which promises to help marketing teams “track, analyze, and improve brand performance on AI search platforms.” What SEO was to search engines, GEO is to artificial intelligence.
