Ohio Medical Board Receives Expert Reports on Medical Marijuana Conditions

The State Medical Board of Ohio met on Wednesday, May 8. At that meeting, the Board received expert third-party reports for the petitions to add two new conditions to the Board’s list of those permissible for a medical marijuana condition.

Those two proposed conditions are (1) Autism Spectrum Disorder, and (2) Female Orgasmic Disorder. As a reminder, the Board accepted these for review as they met the legal requirement of the offer of potentially supportive scientific evidence, or for a previously rejected condition like Autism Spectrum Disorder, the offer of new potentially supportive scientific evidence.

The Board is expected to issue its decision as to accept or reject the inclusion of these as qualifying conditions at its next meeting in June 2024.
