Charles R. Moses

Charles R. Moses is President of the Ohio Telecom Association (OTA). The OTA is an association of 44 telecommunications companies who provide a wide range of telecommunication services. The OTA also represents more than 100 associate member companies, who supply goods and services to the telecommunications industry.

Prior to his appointment as President of the OTA, Mr. Moses was Senior Vice President for Paul Werth Associates. Mr. Moses spent six years managing the governmental affairs operations for GTE in Ohio and nine years in various positions in Washington D.C.

Mr. Moses served in Governor Richard F. Celeste's Administration as Deputy Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant for Legislative Affairs and Assistant Director of the State of Ohio, Washington D.C. Office. In addition to positions held within GTE and the Celeste Administration, Mr. Moses served as Legislative Analyst in the Washington D.C. Office of Governor James J. Blanchard of Michigan.

Mr. Moses is Chairman of the Capitol Square Foundation; he serves on the Paul Werth Associates Advisory Board and is past president of the Bishop Watterson High School Athletic Association. Mr. Moses is past Chairman of the National Council of State Telephone Association Executives. Mr. Moses also served on the Campaign Committee of the Ohio State University's Page Hall Capital Campaign (the permanent home of the John Glenn College of Public Affairs).

Mr. Moses, a graduate of The Ohio State University, resides in Dublin with his wife, Ann.  Their son Christopher is an attorney living in Columbus and their son Andrew is an attorney living in Cleveland.


Cheryl Burchard

Since August 1999, Cheryl Burchard has worked as the Director of Government Relations at the Ohio Telecom Association, a statewide trade association representing 41 telecommunications providers throughout Ohio, along with more than 100 suppliers. She is responsible for overseeing all telecommunications policy matters represented in the Ohio General Assembly and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

Prior to joining the OTA, Cheryl served as Director of Communications in the Ohio House of Representatives under House Speaker Jo Ann Davidson, where she served as chief spokesperson for the majority caucus. In 1994, she worked as press secretary for Sen. Mike DeWine's successful campaign for the U.S. Senate. Cheryl also served as a media relations specialist for majority members of the Ohio Senate from 1992 - 1994.

Cheryl is a 1991 graduate of Ohio University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. She is married to Eric and has three children, Ethan, Molly and Avery.
