Pi Chi Omega Awards Six Scholarships to Outstanding Entomology Students

Pi Chi Omega is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 scholarship program, continuing a tradition of investing in the future of the pest management industry. Since establishing the program in 1976, Pi Chi Omega has awarded 189 scholarships totaling more than $301,000 to students pursuing studies in entomology and related fields.

This year's scholarship recipients are:

• John Osmun Scholarship – Bandana Shrestha, University of Kentucky
• Founders Endowment Scholarship – Jun-Yin Lum, University of California, Riverside
• Alain VanRyckeghem Memorial Scholarship – Ashmita Sapkota, Auburn University
• Austin Frishman Scholarship – Fan-Ling Liu, Texas A&M University
• Norm Ehmann Scholarship – Austin McKay, Louisiana State University
• R. Randall Rollins Memorial Scholarship – Babatunji Daramola, Rutgers University

Congratulations to these exceptional students on their academic achievements and dedication to advancing the science of entomology. Pi Chi Omega is honored to support the next generation of researchers and industry leaders whose work will help shape the future of structural pest management.
