Dear RSA Members,
I write to ask for your help. In our on-going efforts to maximize the benefit you receive from the Society, we are asking each member to take a few moments to fill out a brief (7 questions) survey related to the numerous publications RSA produces. There are many important issues facing all academic publishing ranging from questions over Open Access to preferences for electronic publications over print. As we look toward our future, the Board and I are asking for your feedback on these issues so that we can make the best choices for all our members.
You can locate the survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7G53FC8
Please complete the survey by Friday - May 22nd.
I know for many of you the academic year is coming to a close and I wish you all the best with the finals and hooding ceremonies and convocations that mark this time of year. I also wish you all a restful and productive summer.
Of course, the work at RSA never takes a vacation! The exciting RSA Summer Institute will be occurring at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in early June and I look forward to seeing many of you there. We are also hard at work on the numerous taskforces we have formed to help us look toward future directions for the Society. Planning for the 2016 RSA Conference to be held in Atlanta is also well underway. Greg Clark, our intrepid president-elect, and his wonderful co-directors, Cara Finnegan and Jenny Rice, are putting together a truly outstanding plan for our biennial conference. And, while it is still three years away, we are already at work preparing for the 2018 RSA Conference, which will mark our Society’s 50th Anniversary.
All indications are the future of RSA continues to look bright! Thank you for your membership and dedication to RSA.
