RSA 2016 Undergraduate Research Network - Deadline Feb. 15, 2016

Dear Colleague:

We want to remind you that the application deadline for the RSA 2016 Undergraduate Research Network is fast approaching.

As was the case in 2014, the URN will match talented undergraduate rhetoricians with a faculty mentor and peers with similar interests for discussion of student projects as well as conversation on issues in contemporary rhetorical studies. The URN is scheduled for Saturday May 28 from 11:00am to 1:45pm.

Applications are due by Feb. 15, 2016 and should be sent to Jim Jasinski (jjasinski@pugetsound.edu).

By the Feb. 15 deadline, applicants should send a paper title, a 250 word abstract for a conference-quality paper (approximately 15-20 pp.; something that the applicant might use as a writing sample for graduate school), and an email explaining why they want to participate in RSA’s 2016 URN. We will notify applicants regarding their application status in early March. Accepted applicants will need to send their final paper to their faculty mentor and small group members by April 1, 2016.

Please contact either URN director if you have questions or need additional information. We look forward to meeting and working with some of your best undergraduates this spring!

Best,

Jim Jasinski and Trish Roberts-Miller
