The 2018 RSA Conference Co-Directors invite you to submit an application to participate in the Fifth biennial RSA Research Network Forum. The Research Network will be held this coming year at the 2018 RSA Conference, May 31st-June 3rd in Minneapolis. The Research Network provides newer members of our profession, especially graduate students and new faculty, with an opportunity to receive feedback on work-in-progress in a small group session led by a senior scholar. We especially encourage advanced graduate students, recent graduates, and beginning assistant professors whose circumstances allow them limited mentorship opportunities to apply this year. Whatever your professional situation, the Research Network is a wonderful opportunity to engage some of the field’s best mentors, improve your writing, and strengthen your connections to rhetorical studies.

Reviews will begin on December 1st, so potential participants are encouraged to apply early. Applications will formally close on January 15, with notifications going out in early February. You will be asked to include the following information in your application:
Acceptances: If accepted, participants will be assigned (in groups of six) to a senior scholar who will lead a session on Saturday June 2nd. Lunch is provided. The senior scholars will contact those accepted for their groups by late February. At that time, senior scholars will inform participants of the process and deadline for sharing drafts among group participants. Each participant will be expected to read and provide feedback on the drafts of all participants. Senior scholars will provide further instructions for the session as the conference approaches.
