Invitation to support the 9th Biennial RSA Institute

We are writing to invite you to purchase advertising or to sponsor an award or event at the upcoming 9th Biennial Rhetoric Society of America Institute at Syracuse University. This virtual institute, held May 24 - June 4, 2021, will bring together more than 450 teachers and scholars of rhetoric with home departments in Communication, Writing, and across the humanities and social sciences. RSA is glad to be able to come together during this unusual period in history and we are grateful for the support you’ve given over the years.

Organizations like ours continue to depend on your support during this time, even as the pandemic has inevitably impacted each of our budgets. With that in mind, we have developed a wider range of options and pricing than ever before. As you may know, the costs of the RSA Institute are not fully covered by attendee registration fees. Increasing costs and services to attendees make it necessary to seek sponsorships to keep the institute accessible to all our members. We hope that you will consult with your department head and/or deans about providing support for the institute.

The institute program and sponsorships provide highly visible venues for advertising your graduate programs, publications, and other initiatives in rhetorical studies. Advertising on our social media platforms begins at $40 and advertising in the institute program starts at $200. You may also consider sponsoring an award for $300 or a virtual event beginning at $375. Some of these opportunities are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

We hope your department will be able to provide a strong show of support for the Rhetoric Society of America. The deadline for reserving advertising is April 15; the deadline for reserving sponsorships is May 1. We’re happy to answer any questions or discuss ideas that you might have, and you can find full pricing information at https://www.rhetoricsociety.org/aws/RSA/pt/sp/institute_sponsors.

Thank you for considering this opportunity.
