New Appointments in the Rhetoric Society of America

The RSA Board of Directors have appointed three people from the ranks of our members to positions of service in the Society. 

Jennifer Malkowski, of the Department of Communication Arts & Sciences at California State University, Chico, has been appointed to the new position of Public Relations Officer

As PRO, Professor Malkowski will oversee and coordinate RSA’s outreach to its various constituencies, enhancing the visibility of the organization by promoting research, teaching, and scholarship in rhetorical studies for RSA members and potential members.  More information about Professor Malkowski is available this link: http://www.csuchico.edu/cmst/faculty-office/malkowski.shtml 

Dave Tell, of the Department of Communication Studies at University of Kansas, has been appointed to the new position of Public Humanities Officer

Professor Tell has a long history of taking public scholarship seriously. As PHO, Professor Tell will offer our members opportunities in matters of public engagement, helping us move our scholarship beyond our journals and into the public sphere. Robin E. Jensen, of the Department of Communication at University of Utah, has been appointed to the position of Associate Editor for Special Issues for Rhetoric Society Quarterly
