RSA 2014 Social Media Fellowships, Call for Applications

The Rhetoric Society of America is pleased to announce the following
funding opportunity for graduate students attending the 2014 RSA
Conference in San Antonio, the establishment of four Social Media
Fellowships. Applications for the Fellowships are due April 14, 2014.

Recipients of the Social Media Fellowships will work with Collin
Brooke, the RSA Director of Electronic Resources, to create an ongoing
digital archive of the conference, accessible to both attendees and
non-attendees. Responsibilities may include live-blogging or -tweeting
sessions, taking and sharing photos and/or videos of conference
activities, building the online presence of the conference with links
and resources, and promoting the conference across a range of social
media platforms. The Fellowships each carry a stipend of $750 to help
offset conference expenses.

These fellowships are open to any graduate student attending the 2014
RSA Conference. In order to apply, visit the Application Form,
provide basic contact information, and follow the instructions for
submitting application materials. Applications will require the
following information: a brief cover letter expressing interest and
qualifications, the applicant's curriculum vitae, and links/addresses
for the applicant's social media accounts. If an applicant's cv and
social media presence are readily accessible through an online
portfolio or homepage, including the URL in the cover letter will be
sufficient to satisfy those requirements.

The application deadline is Monday, April 14, 2014; we expect to make
decisions quickly after the application window has closed.
