SAVIR introduces the 2020 SAVIR E-Conference

The Penn Injury Science Center, the host of the planned SAVIR 2020 Annual Conference, in partnership with the SAVIR Planning Committee, Executive Committee and SAVIR Board are pleased to offer the new 2020 SAVIR E-conference: Promoting Health Equity Through the Science of Injury and Violence Prevention. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the SAVIR in-person conference being cancelled, we are offering this new virtual platform to continue to deliver the highest quality science while supporting our members in their careers.

This new E-platform will launch on April 27, 2020, and will allow you to:

All planned oral presentations will be recorded and uploaded into our E-library, available for a year with E-conference registration. Our E-library also includes all planned presentations and poster abstracts published in Injury Prevention, an international peer-reviewed journal. The E-conference mobile application will allow you to connect with authors and colleagues via email and chat features.

All E-conference materials will be available to registrants through April 2021. This will span the time until we meet in-person at our conference next year to be held at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD.

Those who already registered for the SAVIR 2020 Annual Conference will remain registered for the E-conference, and will be refunded to account for our discounted E-conference registration fees (see table below). Registration fees for social activity, short courses, and technical workshops will be refunded. Refunds will be processed automatically by May 1, 2020. If you choose to donate your refund to SAVIR or you would like a full refund, forgoing access to our E-conference and E-library of materials, please contact SAVIR@meinet.com by April 24th.
