While concurrent session submissions for the 2026 USAEE North American Conference are now closed, there is still time for students to enter the 2026 USAEE Best Student Paper Award Competition — entries will be accepted through Monday, June 15. Please feel free to share this opportunity with eligible students and recent graduates.
Up to four Best Student Paper Award finalists will be selected to present their work at the conference, which will be held November 15-18 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Not only do finalists receive recognition for their exceptional work, they also receive a cash award of $500 plus a conference registration scholarship. The finalist selected as the Best Student Paper Award winner will receive an additional prize of $500.

Entrants must also be current USAEE or IAEE members, while finalists must attend the conference to present their paper and receive their award. Papers already submitted as concurrent session abstracts are also eligible for consideration as long as eligibility qualifications are met.
