WF&FSA Names New Chairman
for Young Executives Network

ANNAPOLIS, MD, August 26, 2005 Wanda Weder, president of the Wholesale Florist & Florist Supplier Association (WF&FSA) has named Paul Fowle, senior financial analyst for Delaware Valley Floral Group, as the new chairman for WF&FSA's Young Executives. Fowle replaces Vincent Valerio who left the floral industry earlier this year to pursue a career in the home improvement sector.

The Young Executives group is the emerging leaders' network. It is comprised of owners, managers and future managers of WF&FSA member firms who want to learn more about the floral industry and to meet and network with their peers. The network serves as a management training ground for the next generation of industry leaders.

"Paul has been active in WF&FSA and the Young Executives for many years," said Weder, who is senior executive vice president of Highland Supply Corporation. "We welcome him to the board of directors and look forward to the added benefit of his industry insight, leadership ability and financial acumen."

Fowle has worked for Delaware Valley in Sewell, NJ, for the past 15 years. After 14 years in operations, he moved into the finance department where his key responsibilities are budget preparation and tracking, costing and customer profitability, and new business development.

He and his wife, Wendy van Staalduinen, formerly of Staalduinen Floral Limited in Ontario, Canada, have long supported WF&FSA activities and events. In fact, they met one year during a WF&FSA Management Institute training seminar, which is sponsored by the Young Executives. Van Staalduinen has since joined her husband at Delaware Valley as a fresh flower product manager.

In addition to his new WF&FSA responsibilities, Fowle is a member of the WF&FSA Education Committee and an active member of the Society of American Florists. A graduate of Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, Fowle earned his M.B.A. degree from Penn State University. He currently lives in Mullica Hill, NJ, and teaches business courses as an adjunct professor at Rowan University.
