Congratulations on joining the WF&FSA Board of Directors! Can you tell us a bit about your background?

I started working for DV way back in 2001 as an IT Tech Support Specialist. In that role, I was able to learn about the many different aspects of the company and industry as we were transitioning to a new ERP system. This experience eventually lead to an opportunity to work in Purchasing as a buyer and grower liaison within the department, mainly offering tech support with labeling and our online transactional platform. From there, I was able to utilize my relationships with the growers and other buyers to build a digital marketing strategy, just as e-commerce and social media were starting become vital to our business.

What do you look forward to when joining the board?

As a new member of the WFFSA Board, I am looking forward to working with the rest of the team to identify ways to strengthen our industry as a whole and provide more value to association members. I feel that by working together we will be able to accomplish a lot of great things and I’m excited for the opportunity.

What motivates you about WF&FSA's work on behalf of the industry?

I think one of the most valuable benefits WF&FSA is able to provide members has been the educational experiences, such as DevX and LearnX.  I would love to play a part in helping to increase participation in both of these areas with my time on the board.

What is one major challenge you feel WF&FSA faces at the moment, and one significant opportunity you hope WF&FSA will grasp?

One major challenge we need to focus on is how to increase wholesale memberships and participation within the association.  It’s important that we put a strong emphasis on this, as it allows for a more balanced approach to problem-solving. collaboration, and relationship building.

What do you hope to accomplish as a WF&FSA board member?

My goal is to contribute to the association’s mission by working together with everyone to identify new opportunities of growth and innovation within the floral industry.

What's one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I am a certified group fitness instructor at a local gym and coach classes in my down time.
