Spotlight: Chris King

Chris King is a seasoned pest management professional with more than two decades of industry experience. He began his career in 1999 with Orkin and quickly advanced from technician to Branch Manager by 2005.

He later relocated to Hawaii, where he served as Service Manager for Sandwich Isle Termite and Pest Control, overseeing operations in a uniquely challenging pest management environment for three years.

Industry Experience

After returning to the mainland, Chris continued his career with Bio Bug, once again rising through the ranks from technician to his current role as Service Manager. Throughout his career, he has maintained active licensure and exceeded continuing education requirements, reflecting his commitment to professional growth and industry best practices.

Advanced Training & Certifications

Chris has completed extensive advanced training, including pest control technology programs through Purdue University, termite biology and control studies at Texas A&M, and food processing sanitation and safety certification through AIB.

He has also completed specialized coursework in insect biology through Whitmire Micro-Gen, along with certifications as a Smith System Defensive Driving Instructor, AIB Quality Inspector, and Bloodborne Pathogens Safety Officer.

This diverse training enables Chris to effectively manage complex commercial accounts and develop highly trained, safety-focused teams.

Commitment to Professional Development

A firm believer in continuous improvement, Chris is committed to advancing both his own expertise and that of his colleagues, ensuring the highest standard of service for clients and partners.

Military Service

Prior to his pest management career, Chris proudly served in the United States Navy as a Combat Rescue Swimmer with Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Five in Southern California. In this role, he supported Navy SEAL teams and other special operations units through air support and mission-critical insertion and extraction, while also contributing to civilian rescue and emergency response efforts.

Outside the Industry

Outside of his professional life, Chris values time with his family and enjoys fishing, scuba diving, golf, swimming, and cooking.
