ECA 2016 Convention Health Communication Updates
Hello Health Communication Interest Group Members!
With the 107th Annual ECA Convention just around the corner, I have a few announcements I would like to make.
First, please do attend our business meeting on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. in Chesapeake B if you are able. The minutes from the 2015 meeting (prepared by our secretary, Hannah Ball) are available HERE. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the minutes, we can discuss these on Friday morning.
Second, I have a very special announcement to make regarding this year's conference. Thanks to our generous colleagues at Texas State, we will be hosting two events at the conference which will provide opportunities for undergraduate attendees to mingle with health communication faculty and graduate students in an informal setting. There will be a breakfast on Friday morning at 10:15 a.m., and a dinner on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. Students eat free; faculty dutch treat. These events are sponsored by the Department of Communication Studies at Texas State and hosted by our interest group. I think both of these events will serve as a warm welcome to our undergraduate attendees, and I am so looking forward to meeting our new members.
