Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Two Hour Safety Training Requirement
We want to thank you for participating in either OADA’s Group Rating or Retrospective Group Rating Programs for the 2010 policy year. The purpose of this letter is to remind you of the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) safety training requirement for group rated and group retrospective rated employers that have had a workplace injury within the past two years. You are receiving this letter because your dealership is impacted by this requirement.
BWC’s rule states that any employer who has had a claim in the “green year” or the previous year (January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2009), will have to complete a required two hours of safety training by June 30, 2011. If an employer has experienced more than one claim within this period, they are still only obligated to attend two hours of safety training.
OADA & CCI’s goal is to make this requirement as easy and as informative as possible for our members. How can you comply?

We look forward to assisting all of our members with these recent changes. Should you have any questions, please feel free to call us.
