More Stolen Georgia Titles Make Their Way to Ohio

The Franklin County Clerk of Courts has passed on information to OADA regarding some blank Georgia titles that were stolen, and have begun to appear in Ohio.

The Georgia Department of Revenue - Motor Vehicle Division reported 12,000 blank titles were stolen from their Atlanta location in September of 2007. Below are the control numbers of the stolen titles. The control number is the red number on the lower left side of the Georgia title.

• 22756001 to 22760000
• 22792001 to 22796000
• 22828001 to 22832000

Another stolen Georgia title was recently found and used in Ohio. If any of the stolen titles are presented in your dealership immediately contact local law enforcement, or the Ohio BMV investigative office. Please scrutinize all Georgia titles.
