Proposed changes in state building codes to be vetted at March 13 meetings

The Ohio Board of Building Standards will host three hour-long meetings on Friday, March 13 to take public comment on proposed amendments to administrative rules that constitute Ohio's Basic Building Code and the plumbing, mechanical and residential codes.

The meeting will be held in Training Room 1 of the board's office at 6606 Tussing Road, in Reynoldsburg.  The schedule for the meetings is:

10:00 AM -11:00 AM – Proposed Ohio Building Code rules

11:00 AM -12:00 PM – Proposed Ohio Plumbing Code rules

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM – Proposed Ohio Mechanical Code rules and proposed Residential Code of Ohio rules
