Last Chance to Register for the 2024 ODOT/ACEC Ohio Partnering Conference
As part of the Partnering Conference, a social event will be held the night before the conference on May 13 from 4:30-7 PM at Jackie O's on Fourth located at 171 N 4th St, Columbus, OH 43215. Attendees will NOT need to register for the social event.

This year's agenda includes the opportunity to attend 2 of 5 break-out sessions:
Breakout session 1: Teach Your Children Well
Building on the opening session, this session will delve deeper into programs and best practices that empower staff and encourage development for future leaders. It will also include round table discussions for all to share successful development programs in their offices and their personal growth experiences.
Breakout Session 2: Engage & Exchange
Time to dust off those business cards and join us for an exciting networking session! No more small talk – engage in productive conversations and make impactful connections in minutes. This session provides a fantastic opportunity to get to know your colleagues in a way you never have before. You’ll leave the session with more contacts and knowledge than you ever thought possible in only one hour. Our round-robin style session will keep you on your toes for the full hour, with topics and people changing every 5-7 minutes!
Breakout Session 3: War Stories of a Successful DBE Program
A diverse panel sharing challenges companies have had meeting DBE goals on projects (DBE graduates or loses their prequal mid-project, etc.) and how those were overcome.
Breakout Session 4: What the Heck is Going On
Hear from ODOT and Consultant staff on what each party is doing during project development and preparing plan packages for bidding and award. Panelists will discuss ODOT and Consultant efforts from tracings submittal to the District through the construction phase. Panelists will also discuss differences and uses of Ellis and Ellisproj and discuss how ProjectWise can be a tool for collaboration.
Breakout Session 5: Snowballing Success: Maximizing Workforce Expansion Strategies
Explore dynamic workforce expansion strategies in our engaging snowball challenge session. From innovative retention methods to attracting diverse talent, using recruitment firms, and optimizing engagement with colleges and career fairs, we'll cover key aspects of talent acquisition. Join us to gain actionable insights for enhancing your workforce effectiveness.
