2024 ODOT/ACEC Ohio Partnering Conference Recap

Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s 11th Annual ODOT ACEC Ohio Partnering Conference on May 14, at the Ohio Union. We had nearly 400 attendees including ACEC Ohio members, representatives of the Ohio Department of Transportation and FHWA at the conference, which is designed to improve the partnership between the public and private sectors.

Congratulations to the winners of the ODOT/ACEC Partnering Awards. Four ACEC Ohio member companies received partnering awards at the conference.

• Stantec and ODOT District 8 shared the Category 1 award for the Green T Intersection SR 32 and Eight Mile Road project. 
• Transystems and ODOT District 4 won the Category 2 award for the US-62 Realignment project. 
  GPD Group and ODOT District 4 shared the Category 3 award for the SUM I-77/277/224 Interchange project.
• EMH&T and ODOT District 6 were awarded the Category 4 award for the Northeast Gateway project.

Afternoon breakout sessions offered interactive conversations on various topics including but not limited to:
- A deep dive into programs and best practices that empower staff and encourage development for future leaders.

- Challenges companies have had meeting DBE goals on projects (DBE graduates or loses their prequal mid-project, etc.) and how those were overcome.

- Ellis, Ellisproj, and ProjectWise.
