Surgical Technician
Burbank Spine & Pain Surgery Center
Burbank Spine & Pain Surgery Center is looking to hire a full-time surgical technician to join our growing team.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
- Assists in surgery as a scrub assistant and operates surgical equipment while maintaining aseptic technique.
- Assists with materials management by ordering equipment and supplies according to established par levels and protocols.
- Determines appropriate equipment and supplies needed in surgery according to nursing protocol.
- Prepares, maintains, cleans and checks equipment for proper and safe functioning prior to each procedure.
- Assists other team members in cleaning the operating room and maintaining cleanliness throughout the surgery center.
- Cleans, sorts, and sterilizes instruments and has procedure packs ready for use.
- Under direction of a physician, assists with suctioning, cutting sutures, and applying and removing dressings for surgical cases.
- Drapes sterile field.
- Sets up sterile table with equipment, instruments, and supplies to be used in surgical procedures.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
- Current BLS certification
- 2 years of surgical technician experience, preferably in a multi-specialty outpatient setting
- Experience with pain management and spine procedures highly preferred.
Salary and Benefits
- We offer a salary between $28 and $38 an hour, depending on experience.
