IME Applauds Senate Passage of Mining Schools Act
The Institute of Makers of Explosives (IME) applauds the bipartisan efforts of Chairman Joe Manchin (I-WV) and Ranking Member John Barrasso (R-WY) in the United States Senate to pass the Mining Schools Act of 2023 (S. 912), which will provide much-needed funding to recruit and educate tomorrow’s mining engineers.

Commercial Explosives Industry Applauds Legislation to Incentivize Hiring and Retaining CDL Drivers
IME Urges Amendment to Include Class B Drivers for HazMat
The Strengthening Supply Chains Through Truck Driver Incentives Act would provide a $7,500 tax credit for each qualified licensed commercial truck driver and up to $10,000 in tax credits for each employee registered in trucking apprenticeships.
