Speaker Biographies
Representative August Pfluger
Congressman August Pfluger (R-TX-11) is currently serving his third term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Rep. Pfluger serves on the Committees on Homeland Security and Energy and Commerce, which both have jurisdiction over CFATS.
Serving his third term in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman August Pfluger represents 20 counties in Texas’ 11th congressional district, including Midland, Odessa, San Angelo, Killeen, Brownwood, and Llano.
Representative Darin LaHood
Congressman Darin LaHood (R-IL-16) is currently serving his sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Rep. LaHood serves on the Committee on Ways and Means, which has jurisdiction over tax writing and trade.
The 16th District spans 21 counties across central and northwestern Illinois, ranging from McLean County (Bloomington-Normal) and Peoria County (Peoria) to Winnebago (Rockford) and Jo Daviess (Galena). LaHood serves over 725,000 constituents.
