Monday: LeadingAge Tracks Federal Shutdown Impacts
The next LeadingAge Ohio Advocacy in Action call will take place on Monday, October 20, at 10:00AM. Join Katy Barnett of the LeadingAge national policy team for the latest on the persisting federal shut-down and rippling impacts on aging providers, as well as an in-depth discussion of how advocates can oppose the home health rule that, though stalled, threatens to undermine home-based care across the country. Members are encouraged to register and invite a colleague.
As Congress continues to debate federal spending and avoid a shutdown, LeadingAge is closely tracking fiscal year 2026 funding developments through its federal funding update and will brief members on the latest implications for providers during the weekly National Policy Pulse call each Monday at 3:30 p.m.
Members are urged to notify LeadingAge Ohio of any shutdown-related barriers—whether operational, reimbursement, or beneficiary-facing—so concerns can be escalated to national partners in real time.
Ohio providers know that timely information and coordinated advocacy safeguard access to services for older adults and family caregivers. Your experiences inform state and federal conversations; please bring them to Monday’s Advocacy in Action call and continue sharing updates through National Policy Pulse.
