Program Description: 

What is body art and how has the industry changed over the years?

Paul Shoemaker from the Boston Public Health Commission will present on body art and how the industry has changed over the years. Learn how to inspect and regulate body art establishments and discuss the shared “pain points” with regulations. Paul will co-present with a body artist so we can hear from their perspective and see the equipment used in their practice. 

Learning Objectives: 

At the end of this training program, participants will be able to:

• Describe what is body art and new industry practices like microblading

• Explain the inspection process for a body art establishment

• Discuss body art regulations in MA and their associated challenges
