DSDM Chapter Vertical Surfaces

At 49 pages in length, this is the largest chapter in the Dimension Stone Design Manual. There are 5 subsections to this chapter: Exterior Stone Veneer, Interior Stone Veneer, Stone Base, Stone Soffits, and Stone Fireplace Surrounds. Independently supported veneer, stacked veneer, grid support systems, strut systems, integrated curtainwall systems, and preassembled panelized systems are defined. Interior veneer of mechanically anchored design and adhesively attached designs are discussed. Stone base and requirements for anchorage are included. A variety of soffit hanging systems are detailed, as are basic fireplace surround attachments. This section includes 29 pages of graphics with industry proven attachment details.
