WATER TREATMENT FOR DIALYSIS
Newly published in 2015, Water Treatment for Dialysis focuses on current regulations, new technology and best practices for dialysis personnel. 208 pages discussing the importance of source water, the risks and hazards of dialysis water, water system design considerations, water system pre-treatment and primary treatment devices. Additionally, there is an introduction to monitoring, system maintenance, and portable water treatment systems for home and acute dialysis. Current water quality standards and regulations are also addressed. The appendices contain information for quick reference such as ANSI/AAMI Maximum Contaminant Levels, EPA Primary Drinking Water Contaminant List, Water Related V-Tags from the CMS Conditions of Coverage and a Sample Home Hemodialysis Environmental Assessment.
