Mission
Mission Statement
NANT is dedicated to advancing the highest quality of care for individuals with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) through education, professional development, and a commitment to excellence in nephrology practice.
Philosophy
The National Association of Nephrology Technicians/Technologists (NANT) affirms that the roles of Nephrology Technicians and Technologists encompass a broad range of responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to: direct patient care in dialysis, maintenance and repair of medical equipment, dialyzer reuse, materials management, quality assurance, and research and development.
We are committed to upholding the highest standards of quality and safety in the care of patients undergoing treatment for renal failure. Our members are accountable for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving these standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
We believe that a robust, intra-organizational educational program is essential to foster professional competence and growth. Continuous learning supports excellence in practice and adapts to the evolving needs of nephrology care.
We recognize the vital role of research in advancing treatment modalities and enhancing existing practices. Innovation must be encouraged, rigorously tested, and widely shared to benefit the field and the patients we serve.
We embrace a collaborative, team-based approach to patient care. Interdisciplinary communication and cooperation are fundamental to delivering comprehensive and effective treatment.
As integral members of the nephrology care team, we are dedicated to engaging with issues that impact our profession across both public and private sectors. We advocate for the advancement of our field and the well-being of those we serve.
