Welcome to our directory of self storage auction listings. In North Carolina, self storage facilities hold storage auctions or lien sales to vacate non-paying tenants according to their enforcement rights that are outlined within the NC Lien Law. These auctions are open to the general public with most bidders buying for the purpose of reselling for profit. Storage auctions are a great way to buy secondhand merchandise at a low cost. NCSSA members can post their auctions at no cost. There is a $25 fee per posting for non-members that is due at the time of purchase.

IMPORTANT: Include all information on the location of the sale, unit number(s), contents of each unit and start and end date and times of each auction as well as contact information for the facility in your submission. NCSSA law states auction listings must include a description of unit contents!

NOTICE: The North Carolina Self Storage Association does not review, represent, or warrant that the sale or the advertisement is done in accordance with N.C. Gen. Stat. § 44A-40 et. seq. Advertisements posted on this website are done for the convenience of the member and will be posted as it is provided by the member without further review or modification. It is the member’s sole responsibility to ensure that all legal requirements are followed to proceed with a lawful sale, including the required advertising information to ensure the sale is advertised and conducted in a commercially reasonable manner, as defined in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 25-9-627.

Incomplete submissions will NOT be posted! Submissions will be posted within 72 hours of submission. Do not submit an auction within 24 hours of the auction date/start time. Auctions submitted after the auction start date WILL NOT BE POSTED!

NCSSA's Offices are open Monday through Friday. Auctions submitted after 3pm on Friday or over the weekend will be posted the next business day.
