David J. Kirby, 48, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was raised in Brick and moved to Freehold in 2007. David worked most recently as the Vice President for L.E.A.D. and was previously known for all the years working in radio. He was sarcastic and witty with a skill for writing, and he knew how to make everyone smile. Most importantly, David was a devoted husband and father. He found joy in watching his children play sports and loved his family and friends.

David was predeceased by his father, Joseph Kirby; sister, Stephanie Kirby; and mother-in-law, Irene Policastro. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Kirby; his three children, Aidan, Jack, and Noah; mother, Nancy Kirby; sister, Jessica Kirby-Smith and her husband, Michael; father-in-law, James Policastro; sister-in-law, Christine Palumbo and her husband, Greg; nieces and nephews, Dylan, Alyson, Evan, Anthony, and Ava; lifelong friend, Patrick Murphy; and countless friends.
