AM/FM Radio Remains 'Car Buyers' Most Important Medium
Nearly 2/3 of U.S. consumers 16-74 say they use over-the-air radio every time or most times while driving, says Hub Entertainment Research
The FCC has made available its latest version of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) Handbook for 2023.
As noted in the FCC EAS rule Part 11.15: "A copy of the Handbook must be located at normal duty positions or EAS equipment locations when an operator is required to be on duty and be immediately available to staff responsible for authenticating messages and initiating actions."

Bipartisan legislation introduced in the House — the AM for Every Vehicle Act — to require automakers to maintain AM broadcast radio in new vehicles at no additional charge. Out of 20 of the world’s leading carmakers, eight have removed AM broadcast radio from their electric vehicles.
On Tuesday, May 23 Ford Motor Company announced, via a tweet from CEO Jim Farley, that it had reversed its previous decision to eliminate AM radio from all vehicles starting in 2024.
The news was unanimously praised from the radio industry, which has coalesced together in recent months to head off the trend of automakers removing AM from electric vehicles.
