Reminder - Surgical Smoke Language Goes into Effect October 3, 2024!

Is your surgery center prepared for the new surgical smoke evacuation requirements?

The state biennial budget bill includes language regarding the management of surgical smoke that goes into effect October 3, 2024.  Specifically, this effects sections 3702.3012 and 3727.25 of the Ohio Revised Code.

OAASC's government relations consultants, The Fitzgibbon Group, have prepared a document, Ohio Laws On Surgical Smoke summarizing details and reviewing these sections.
