OAIMA – In the Classroom

OAIMA members recently spoke to geology classes at Northwest High School near Cincinnati. We wish to thank, Devin Cherry, Geologist and Science Teacher at Northwest High School for inviting us to speak to Juniors and Seniors about our industry. Basic Ohio geology, production techniques and crushing and screening were covered along with the multiple job and career opportunities available in the construction industry.

Northwest High School recently received a grant (supported by OAIMA) through the Ohio EPA to install a “Geology Museum” in their school.  We look forward to continuing our relationship and supporting this educational initiative.
