Altice Unveils New Logo, to Kill Cablevision, Suddenlink Brands

Altice USA has changed the company's logo, and says it will be eliminating both the Suddenlink and Cablevision brand names in the coming months. An announcement by the company (pdf) states that the new logo represents "a path" that is "open and free of any borders or background," intended to represent Altice’s "timeless aspirations to continuously innovate and reinvent the future to meet customers’ evolving needs." The company says it also "reinforces the strength of the Altice brand, and the path which Altice and its customers take together to experience the future."

The new logo will come alongside a new tagline for the company: "Together Has No Limits."

Altice USA also says the rebranding will be a global one, and won't be entirely complete until the second quarter of 2018. The rebranding of Cablevision (Optimum) and Suddenlink isn't likely to occur until later this year or early next. The move is expected to come as Altice ramps up its plan here in the states to bypass DOCSIS 3.1 upgrades and instead deploy full fiber to the home across the company's footprint.

The company is expected to acquire additional operators as it continues to expand its US ambitions.

"Altice has a global vision, a clear strategy and a track record of success, and Altice USA is pleased to stand together with its colleagues around the world under one common brand," said Altice CEO Dexter Goei of the brand shift. "Today represents a new beginning on our path as we continue to deliver innovative, high quality, customer-centric products and solutions that connect our customers to the world around them. As one global Altice brand, we believe anything is possible."
