The Gerard V. Yu, DPM Scientific Paper Competition and 2026 Resident Poster Competition was held during the 110th Annual Ohio Foot and Ankle Scientific Seminar, Thursday, May 14, 2026.

This is an opportunity for active resident members of the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association to showcase their talent and hard work in the presentation of their research.

2026 competition finalists received over $3,000 in cash and prizes!

Scientific Paper Competition - Submissions were Due by February 6, 2026 and Finalists were Notified by April 16, 2026

Resident finalists presented their research to a panel of five judges on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:30 AM. The papers were first evaluated by a panel of five blind judges with no information about who submitted the paper or the program that submitted it.  The blind judges scores were then added to the onsite presentation judges scores to determine the winner of the competition.

        


Scientific Poster Competition - Submissions were Due by February 6, 2026 and Finalists were Notified by April 16, 2026

The 2026 Ohio Resident Poster Competition received 22 submissions. 

2026 submissions were evaluated by a separate panel of five judges to determine the winner. The five finalists presented a brief 5-minute presentation following the paper presentations on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:30 AM.
