2. There is a meeting in February between our coaches Board and OHSAA regarding extending our spring season by one week beginning in 2019. Stay tuned for developments.
3. Our Northwest District was well represented at the State Clinic with 3 players earning Player of the Year Honors. In Division II Seth Lonsway (Celina) and Manny Vorhees (Wapakoneta) received the award and in Division IV Michael Kirian (New Riegel) was the recipient. Congratulations to these young men, their coaches and programs on this outstanding achievement.
4. The Northwest District was also well represented as all 3 Inductees to the OHSBCA Hall of Fame were from the NW. Congratulations to Jim McBride (Kalida), Mike Wiss (Minster) and Mike O’Reilly (Sylvania Southview) on this notorious achievement as it is very well deserved. 5. I have attached a list of the 2018 Northwest District Poll Voters. It is imperative that you contact these voters with information about your team and adhere to the posted timelines. We truly wish to have the best teams ranked appropriately and coaches can only vote based on the information they have. There was some confusion on our part relative to the voter list at the clinic as it was misrepresented in the Clinic Program. 6. Each year the OHSBCA sponsors the All-Ohio Mizuno Series to honor the best Senior baseball players around the state. We will be soliciting your votes late in May but it is imperative that you nominate kids that CAN and WILL play. Forms and guidelines will be emailed to you in May.
