Glenda Stansbury is Marketing & Development Director at InSight Books for 24 years and has been the Dean of Insight Institute for 21 years, co-training over 4200 Celebrants across North America with Dough Manning. Before joining Insight Books, Glenda worked 12 years for the Oklahoma Education Association as a trainer/facilitator. She was responsible for developing and delivering teacher training all over the state of Oklahoma and was cited by the National Education Association as one of the top trainers in her field. Prior to that, she was a Special Education Teacher in the field of emotional disturbance and has taught prepared childbirth, sign language for the deaf and music. She is a practicing Celebrant, adjunct professor at the University of Central Oklahoma Funeral Department, Worsham College of Mortuary Science, and is a licensedfuneral director/embalmer.

Brent Patterson
Brent Patterson earned his degree at the University of Central Oklahoma in Computer Science but always had a desire to serve Grady County as a licensed funeral director. His grandfather, father and uncle had served families in funeral homes over the years along with his mother serving families at the local flower shop. For the past 20 years, Brent has served families in Tuttle, Chickasha, Blanchard, Yukon and the greater Oklahoma City metro area. A caregiver at heart, Brent cared for his father battling multiple sclerosis alongside his mother his entire life. Following the death of his father, Brent returned to mortuary school to pursue his purpose in the funeral industry. Known for his ability to create unique experiences customized to each family's loved one, Brent created a meaningful space for families to pay tribute to their loved ones.
David Skidmore

David Skimore is a creative entrepreneur, and the founder of LeaderGrowth, a business offering simple and clear leadership development for the modern era. David is the author of For Love with Joy: The Best Way to Live, The Only Way to Die, and Unstuck: Turn Potential into Purpose. You can listen to his podcast LeaderGrowth with David Skidmore wherever you listen to podcast. David has coached leaders from some of the most well-known and impactful organizations in Oklahoma including Love’s, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Bank of Oklahoma. David has been the coorganizer of TEDxOklahoma City since 2019 where he coached speakers to international success. David lives in Oklahoma City, OK.

Marty Ludlum
Professor Marty Ludlum teaches business law at the University of Central Oklahoma and is a licensed attorney. He has made numerous presentations on the funeral industry at state and national conventions and has authored articles for national and state funeral magazines. Professor Ludlum has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics, a master’s degree in communication and a Juris Doctor, all from the University of Oklahoma. Professor Ludlum also serves as the Education Director for Osiris Funeral Home Software.
Wallace Hooker

Wallace P. Hooker, CFSP, MBIE
, is the owner/funeral director of Family & Friends Funeral Home of Wingate, IN. He and his wife established, designed, and built their funeral home in 2004. Wally attended Purdue University and is a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Wheeling, IL. He is 2016 Past President of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association. Wally does a significant amount of trade embalming out of his funeral home. He is routinely called on by other funeral directors, for technical consultation, to assist with their problem cases, restorative work and for their family members. Wally has a passion and reputation for quality no-nonsense embalming and facial reconstruction. As an ‘in demand’ lecturer, Wally enjoys sharing his professional knowledge and experience with others at many International, National, State and Regional Association Conventions and meetings as well as several mortuary colleges.  In addition, he has served Fountain County, Indiana for 26 years, as deputy coroner, the past 20 years as Chief Deputy coroner/investigator.

Gregg Norris


Greg Norris is a regional director for Homesteaders Life Company. He joined Homesteaders in 2004 and spent the next six years serving funeral home customers and agents in Texas. In 2010, he was named Regional Director of the West Region. Prior to joining Homesteaders, he spent 10 years as a preneed sales counselor, territory manager and preneed marketer. Greg has a degree in Marketing and Management from Emporia State University and is a two-time recipient of Homesteaders’ Account Executive of the Year award.

Cody Collett

Cody Collett is a risk consultant at Federated Insurance for around 1.5 years. In his current role, he assist clients of Federated in minimizing or eliminating their risk by assisting in identification of higher risk operations, assisting in developing policy and/or procedure for minimizing the risk of those operations, assisting in identifying engineering and PPE controls suitable for the operations, assisting in training their employees on policy and/or procedures developed, providing resource material for risk management, and conducting hazard identification walk-throughs at their facilities to assist in identifying observable risks.  Previously, he was in commercial construction as a safety professional for around 6 years. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Occupational Safety and Health and minored in General Business. He also holds a CSP or Certified Safety Professional designation that is accredited through the BCSP or Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

The Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association is excited to host our 121st Annual Convention and Expo March 11-13, 22024 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Norman, OK. Christina will be hosting the Opening Party which will be a Masquerade Murder Mystery Dinner (dress in your best masquerade mask and costume).
