WNCN is looking for a dynamic self starter who excels in enterprise storytelling. This journalist will plan, produce and execute compelling content that support the station brand on multiple platforms. Outstanding ability to cultivate news sources, manage time efficiently, work under pressure and meet station deadlines. Excellent storytelling, live and breaking news experience is a must. Adept at pushing content to the web and social media. Ability to engage in the digital world to enhance storytelling on multiple platforms. Solid photojournalist who implements the NPPA style and a full understanding of new technologies.Candidates for this position MUST have strong writing skills, an ability to operate digital video cameras and use non-linear editing equipment and software. Must pitch strong actionable content that supports station brand. They must have impeccable ethics and ability to make sound journalistic judgments. Job Duties: Plan and execute enterprise stories. Shoot, write, edit and appear in stories for use on multimedia platforms. Create and maintain news sources. Work with multimedia producers and news managers daily to plan and execute news coverage. We're looking for self-starters who come to table pitching the big story. This position will be based in Cumberland County, NC for coverage in Fayetteville, NC and the surrounding areas.
