WGHP-TV, Tribune Media's FOX affiliate serving Greensboro / High Point (Market #46), is looking for a Vice President of Technology to manage all technical aspects and engineering personnel at the Greensboro, NC based operations center. This leadership position reports directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will have experience managing, planning, developing and budgeting multiple concurrent priorities. Hiring and retaining the right personnel, combined with the candidate’s knowledge of current IP based systems, is critical to success and is expected. This “never stop learning, never stop innovating” position requires the desire and drive to stay competent in the latest trends in broadcast television and related Internet / mobile systems.

Typical Daily Responsibilities: Direct maintenance of the transmitter, tower, and related equipment. Direct station IT technology operations including computers, servers, networking and telecommunications equipment. Develop and implement strategic capital and operating budget plans. Plan and manage building and grounds maintenance. Knowledge of non-linear editing systems, broadcast station automation, graphics generation and rendering systems (and their related storage technologies).
